Arch Enemy is reissuing their first two albums – Black Earth from 1996 and Stigmata from 1998 – on both vinyl and CD formats. The albums are two of the three that featured vocalist Johan Liiva before his departure in 2000. Liiva would be replaced by Angela Gossow, who stuck around until 2014, and was replaced by current vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. Amazing that Arch Enemy has gone through three pretty distinct eras and has created classics in all three, but here we are.

“When I first got Arch Enemy together in 1995 and we recorded the first album Black Earth during 9 hectic days at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, I obviously never imagined the impact and trajectory that this band would have,” said Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott of the reissues. “All these years later I’m still very proud and happy with our first record and the follow-up Stigmata. Very cool to see them relaunched again on CD & lovely vinyl. Let the killing begin!”
